Shah Rukh Khan weaves spell in Pharaoh’s land

Shah Rukh Khan weaves spell in Pharaoh's land: Exotic locales, designer clothes and NRI content of Karan Johar films have conquered the overseas market since his first venture.

The latest to continue with the golden legacy is My Name Is Khan. Starring the Bollywood hit pair, Shahrukh Khan and Kajol, the film deals with the communal trauma of Muslims in the US post the 9/11 terror attacks.

Recently Egypt has joined in the celebration of the film's success as the identifiable cause strikes a chord with the Muslim population.

Lauded by media pundit, Khalid Mutassir, MNIK has grossed a whopping one million in the first month of its release.

The director/producer is keen to cash in on the film's international appeal and has taken it to the Cannes Film Festival. Kabir Khan's New York is soon to follow suit.
