Salman and Shahrukh enemity continues

Salman and Shahrukh are not at all willing to let bygones be bygones. The two stars are known to portray diplomacy while evading each other in public as several attempts to bring peace between them has gone in vain. Both Shahrukh and Salman were invited recently at the wedding of writer Mushtaq Sheikh’s sister in Mumbai.

There was a good chance of the two bumping into each other. But they did not.We hear that the two had their khabrus planted at the wedding venue. The khabrus kept both the Khans informed when the other was coming. So, Salman Khan was seen walking in first at the wedding. He congratulated the bride and groom and, after spending a few minutes, left.

SRK came to the wedding much later, so there was no chance on earth that the two warring parties might have come face to face.

SRK builds train for Ra.One

Shah Rukh Khan is busy with his home production Ra.One in Goa. The movie is shaping up well, we hear. Now the director Anubhav Sinha wanted to shoot in a local train. He had the option of shooting on real sites. But permission and timings would be a problem.

So SRK had a brainwave and he got his art directors to build a train for the movie. It took some effort getting the train ready but it was certainly worth it. Now they can shoot whenever they want and it looks as good as the real one.

Shah Rukh Khan needs 8 packet cigarettes, Sallu 3 packets!!

Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, who had awesome six- pack- abs at one point of time and can guarantee super hit flicks at the box office, can not control themselves from heavy smoking and still need a hefty eight packets and three packets per day respectively.

These two biggest of Bollywood stars have the will to make that fabulous physique but do not have enough will power to quit smoking and the strangest part of the story is that both of them truly want to kick the habit. In fact, Shah Rukh Khan, who is famous as a doting dad to his kids Suhana and Aryan, wants to quit the habit for them as he knows that the kids did not like their dearest father smoking tobacco.

King Khan also admits that it is due to his kids’ dislike that the habit is somewhat restrained, as he avoids as much as he could from smoking before them. Even the perfectionist Aamir Khan, who had in fact kick the habit for some months during the preparation of his blockbuster ‘Gajini’, could not desist the habit just before the release of next venture and blamed the habit on stress and tension due to new film’s release.

However, one good thing about our big stars is that they all want to leave the habit and do not indulge in it or feel proud about it. Sources say that even among Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan, it’s the King Khan who does the maximum damage to his lung by smoking heavily.

In fact, Shah Rukh Khan would feel very uncomfortable if he did not get a cigarette to smoke every three hours or sometimes even before this. Shah Rukh Khan is totally addicted to it and can not work without this stimulant.

On the other hand, Salman Khan loves to indulge himself whenever he is in the company of his close friends and sometimes his count comes to three four packets per day. However, Sallubhai is intelligent enough to keep himself limited to the milder brand of cigarettes.

Fortunately, now smoking is not considered sexy or masculine in bollywood flicks and is used seldom, if at all, only on the demand of the script. Earlier, the situation was worse when hero would smoke a cigarette in a particular signature style and people’s mind would get vitiated.

Recall Amitabh Bachchan’s character smoking in a particular style in ‘Deewar’ or ‘Trushal’. Then there was Pran smoking in a particular villainous way in old bollywood flicks. Sometime director even tried to make lady villains smoke on the screen, especially Vindu and Helen in olden days.

Hollywood was not far behind in the smoking matters. In fact, Brad Pitt in ‘Fight Club’, Audrey Hepburn in ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s and Humprey Bogart in ‘Casablanca’ made style statements with the help of their cigarettes.

Amitabh Bachchan dresses like Shah Rukh Khan for Kutch tourism!!

Amitabh Bachchan, the Shehanshah of bollywood who is in the Kutch region of Gujarat to shoot for the promotion of its tourism on the request of CM Narendra Modi, chose to dress like Shah Rukh Khan’s character in the film ‘Paheli’.

Big B was looking colorfully handsome in traditional pagri and Kurta worn by local Kutchi people. He even tweeted about Shah Rukh connection of his dress but King Khan chose to ignore this perhaps due to Narendra Modi’s Gujarat connection.

However, this did not dampen the spirit of doyen of Indian cinema and he telephoned son Abhishek Bachchan, who was shooting in the turkey capital of Istanbul, and talked about his debut film ‘Refugee’, which had been shot by veteran JP Dutta in the same desert area of Bhuj.

Amitabh was especially impressed with rich cultural history and diversity of that region. Big B later even visited the renowned Somnath temple and Gir lion sanctuary. His signature line for the promotional campaign remains ‘Kutch nahi Dekha to Kuch nahi dekha’.

While shooting in the desert, Amitabh faced strong winds which usually blow in the desert region of Gujarat, but the veteran was undeterred, and in fact, even expressed himself to have become more determined to shoot in the area.

Big B was delighted when informed that by afternoon sea will start invading the white desert and he would be able to see water on the surface. In fact, at that point of time too he could see water seeping through surface from beneath across the salty Rann.

The whole shoot also brought out the poetic side of Big B who spoke about the whole experience in a lyrical way as explained by his writing on his bigadda blog. Presently, Amitabh Bachchan is in the Kutch region of Gujarat to shoot for the promotion of tourism in this region of the State.

As the place where Big B was shooting in the Rann of Kutch was very near to Pakistan border(around sixty km), he was provided with strict security by the state government. However, the tragedy of the actual shooting site was that only two wheelers like motorbikes were able to ply in the area.

It may be recalled that Amitabh Bachchan had earlier been castigated by other political parties for his agreeing to become the brand ambassador of Narendra Modi’s ‘Gujarat’ on the ground of latter supporting the communal forces through his government.

However, Amitabh Bachchan’s argument was simple that he was supporting and advocating the promotion of the state of Gujarat and not associated with some political party in the case.

The buzz doing the rounds in the industry is that Shah Rukh Khan, who has powerful friends in Congress party, did not respond to Big B’s tweet about ‘Paheli’ dress recently only due to his involvement with Congress and Amitabh’s tense relation with the Gandhis.

What’s cooking between SRK, Shilpa?

There’s something cooking between Shah Rukh Khan and his former co-star Shilpa Shetty — and the whole unit of Ra.One is just grinning with delight

Shah Rukh Khan is all set for the London schedule of his ambitious project Ra.One. With shooting to start there in the first week of July, all logistic arrangements are being given the once-over to make sure everything is in place when the unit finally arrives in the city.

With food being such an integral part of the any Indian outing overseas, a very special arrangement has been put in place for the cast and crew. The meals for the unit — all authentically Indian stuff — will be delivered on the sets by a chain of restaurants owned by Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra in London.

Incidentally, the chain has as many as 15 restaurants and 12 takeaway joints spread over London. SRK’s production house has assigned them the entire responsibility of feeding the unit during its stay there.

Our source said, “Shilpa and Shah Rukh have been great friends since Shilpa made her debut in Baazigar (1993). Though they never worked together after that, Shilpa made time for the title song of SRK’s Om Shanti Om.

They have also been interacting quite regularly during the IPL matches, because they are both stakeholders in different teams. During one particular match, Shilpa mentioned to him that she was going to get more involved in the chain of restaurants in London owned by her husband. SRK promptly said that he would come and visit them whenever he was in London.

When the London schedule of Ra.One was being planned, Shilpa was surprised to get a call from a production person asking for a contact number in London to finalise a deal for food for the entire unit. So, now everyone on the Ra.One team is looking forward to some good Indian food from Shilpa’s restaurants.

Shilpa herself can’t stop talking about SRK and how he not only remembered that conversation, he came good on his promise.”

When contacted Shilpa Shetty’s spokesperson confirmed, “Yes, Shilpa’s restaurants would be supplying food to the Ra.One unit and chicken curry, made famous by Shilpa during her Big Brother stay, will definitely be on the menu.”

Shah Rukh was his usual jocular self as he answered questions from the press.

After the event, Shah Rukh tweeted:

SRK, Ash not teaming-up for Yash Raj’s next

Bollywood actors Aishwarya Rai and Shah Rukh Khan will not be seen together in Yash Raj Films (YRF) next project, a spokesperson from the production house said Saturday.

“Despite our categorical denial of this baseless rumour, the tabloid continued to publish this with an ambiguous quote from a person at YRF. It is totally baseless and not true,” said an official statement from YRF.

“The least that should have been done was to have quoted us correctly and preferably not have carried this concocted story at all,” it added.

The news report was published in a Mumbai-based tabloid that said that after “Devdas” (2002) the two Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai are coming together after eight years for a YRF movie.

YRF has denied it saying that no such project is being planned which has the two of them paired together.

“Our next set of scripts are still under finalisation and as and when the cast for each of them is locked, we will be more than happy to make the announcements. Till then, it would be great if you could please check with us before quoting any unconfirmed sources,” said the release.

Aishwarya Rai and Shah Rukh were seen in Yash Raj’s film “Mohabbatein” in 2000.

Aamir upset with SRK?

At long last, the weekend is here and I’m so glad I can get away from the shor-sharaba of the shaher for the next couple of days. What are your plans, my sweetums? Before you wonder if I’m going to go on and on about my chuutti with Madhu my Mottu Maid and Rapchik Rajni, let me share with you some of the garma-garam gup that everyone in tinsel town is shupping about.

For starters, I’ve just been informed that Aamir Khan is upset with Shah Rukh Khan. I had gone to see a special screening of Prince Of Persia at a suburban multiplex where I bumped into a friend of the Padma Bhushan actor-filmmaker, who gave me this dope.

Seems Aamir was surprised to hear that in a recent interview SRK stated that that he’d always check with him before making a joke on him. The 3 Idiots actor’s dost reveals to me that SRK doesn’t really call Aamir, forget seeking his permission for making a dig at his expense.

Aur pata hai kya? Aamir is also clueless as to why SRK has to speak about him in his interviews. “Agreed Aamir too sometimes answers queries pertaining to Shah Rukh, but he tries avoiding them as much as he possibly can. More so because he knows that both the actors will be asked questions about each other… And he doesn’t want to say anything that can be posed as a query to Shah Rukh afterwards,” explained the friend.

Hmm, point to be noted. What say, SRK?

SRK not to attend the IIFA Award,

Even as there is much talk about Bachchans not getting attention IIFA this year there is one more celebrity who opts out of IIFA.and it's none other than SRK. Shahrukh has not been much of a consistent visitor to the IIFA.

This year things were definitely looking better considering the fact that he had earlier asserted his presence in IIFA.

However now the actor says he has too much work left to be completed and hence IIFA will have to do without him.

"Don't think I will be able to come for IIFA. Too much work here, will miss Colombo," he declared.

While speculations about his abcence st such a big event are bound to arise the fact also remains that the actor is indeed busy with the shooting of Ra.One which has been going behind schedule.

SRK in the meantime is quite stressed with all production related issues and is required in Mumbai.

Shahrukh's friend turned foe,Salman Khan on the other hand will be making it to IIFA as the ambassador for charity.

SRK's gift to Anubhav Sinha (Director of SRK's Ra.One)

Shah Rukh Khan is a great producer and this comes as a testimony from all directors he has worked with right from Amol Palekar to Priyadarshan to Anubhav Sinha.

While they have admitted that never does the actor interfere in their creative processes he also takes care of his team like family. And this was seen when he gifted Anubhav Sinha a cycle. The director has been complaining about stress and no time to exercise.

And when SRK got to know he just gifted the director a cool cycle which he can ride around the sets and also back home to maintain his work out schedules. "I was cribbing of lack of workouts because of shoots.

Was cribbing of lack of time to buy a bicycle," says Anubhav adding that within a few hours SRK has 3 options lined up for him and he finally chose a cycle. "Rode back home on a bicycle!" he informs.

SRK surely knows how to keep things cool!

Shah Rukh plays the perfect babysitter in absence of Gauri

Shah Rukh Khan may be ruling Bollywood but when it comes to his family, he is not the boss. He is much too happy to allow the efficient Gauri Khan to take over and meekly follows her instructions.

According to the latest news, the King Khan played the super papa to his kids when Gauri was vacationing with friends Karan Johar, Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Roshan.

Sources reveal that the actor enjoyed baby-sitting Aryan and Suhana, while Gauri joined her best buddy Karan Johar in the US to celebrate his birthday.

SRK, who loves spending time with his kids, enjoyed his new real-life role and happily took care of his children. Aryan and Suhana loved being pampered by their dad.

The actor, who has already made a huge mark in the film world, has never been in favour of neglecting his family for success. He is left with little time but tries to make the most of it and is seen with his family at every social do. So, while Gauri was taking a break, SRK filled her place like a pro. Kudos to King daddy!

SRK turns quizmaster on Twitter

Bollywood's King Khan is all set to play Kaun Banega Crorepati all over again, just that he will play the game for his fans on micro blogging site Twitter this time.

Shah Rukh Khan will soon turn quizmaster to his fans on Twitter. To add more fun to the plan, he would also give away gifts to the best questions and answers.

Informing his fans King Khan tweeted: "have a new plan for us. Once my shoot gets over by the end of this month...v will ask each other ques & best ques/ans gets a present etc."

Since Shah Rukh is the host, the gifts surely would be more than interesting. But definitely his millions of fans and followers would not play just for gifts. The quiz would rather get them to within a tweet of their star.

Announcing the bonanza for his fans SRK tweeted: "will call the winners to some shoot & meet u face to face. wil organise it.."

SRK's current fan base on Twitter stands at more than four lakh. Overwhelmed by the response he got on the social networking site, SRK tweeted: "hey thanx all 400,000 & more of u, soon v can start our own small country. send me the name for it tomorrow..."

And the first to come up with a name for Badhashah's small country on Twitter was none other than the Shehenshah himself.

"ShahRukh .. how about - 'KINGDOM', taking up from your own popular and deserving epithet of KING," tweeted Amitabh Bachchan.

If Big B was quick, SRK was quicker to tweet him back.

SRK reverted: "oops how dare i, didnt realise u would be online & reading my pretentious attempts to create a kingdom. this is embarrassing."

"have a name for your world. The United states of Great Bachchania, thanx for letting us be a part of it sir. love & health to u," SRK added.

It seems to be the dawn of a brand new brave Bollywood world where SRK reigns as king of tweets for now at least.

Lara to join SRK in Don sequel

Bollywood bombshell Lara Dutta is set to join the Don in his second outing on the big screen. She will be seen kicking some serious behind with Shah Rukh Khan in his upcoming sequel of Don.

The former Miss Universe will be seen doing the karate chops and some mean action along side the most wanted man in the word.

Confirming the news on her Twitter page Lara said: "Yes, am extremely delighted to be a part of Don 2 with the fabulous SRK and Priyanka and Farhan! Can't wait for the project to start :-)"

The actress has been cast alongside SRK, Priyanka Chopra and Arjun Rampal-all three who have been retained from its prequel Don.

The actress is touted to play a femme fatale in this slick-flick. However, whether Lara will be seen vying for SRK's attention alongside Priyanka remains to be seen.

For Lara, it may just be a dream come true, as she had not too long ago revealed her wish of doing a hardcore action oriented role.

Shah Rukh misses working with Juhi & Aziz Mirza,

Bollywood superstar misses working with Juhi Chawla and director Aziz Mirza with whom he teamed up in the initial days of his career.

Shah Rukh gave hits like Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman (1992), Yes Boss (1997) and Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani (2000) with Juhi and Mirza.

"Last night (I) was thinking wot (what) beautiful times I had making 'Yes Boss'...'Raju Ban Gaya (Gentleman)'...'Phir Bhi Dil Hai(Hindustani)'... missing Aziz (Mirza) and Juhi (Chawla)," Shah Rukh wrote on his twitter page.

The 44-year-old was last seen with Juhi in Amitabh Bachchan starer Bhootnath, a comedy directed by Vivek Sharma.

Shah Rukh also started a production house called Dreamz Unlimited with Juhi and Mirza as partners and produced films like Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani and Chalte Chalte under the banner.

Shah Rukh Khan wants beti Suhana to be strong, sporting!!

Shah Rukh Khan, the badshah of bollywood is a doting father to Suhana and Aryan everybody knows but only a select few know that King Khan has already started to train his daughter and her friends to be sporting and strong in nature to win the battle of life in future.

By his own experiences in life in the world and more particularly in bollywood, King Khan wants his daughter to be as solid as a rock to withstand the onslaught of future in this world when she would start going out and face the world on her own. Shah Rukh Khan knows that many a times in life you have just to bear and grin with stoicism and for that a rare mental strength is needed.

Even being sporting in nature is important to be able to cope with defeats and some odd situations in life which are likely to come regularly. In fact, the badshah of bollywood wants the girls to have the same stamina and power which he had imparted to his ‘Chak De! India’ team through his coaching in the film.

The only difference is that ‘Chak…’ was a flick while King Khan wants Suhana and her girl friends to adopt the same in real life, which is more hard and tough than any situation, faced in the movies of tinsel town.

As Shah Rukh Khan loves to intersperse his training sessions with jokes and anecdotes, the girls are obviously enjoying the whole experience of being trained by one of the busiest and biggest icons of bollywood.

Though, Shah Rukh Khan’s children Suhana and Aryan are too young to think about films or their any other alternate career, but SRK wants them to become strong and sporting in nature, which will help them in any field they later decide to join for themselves.

Presently, Shah Rukh Khan is busy with his upcoming flick ‘Ra 1’, which also has the element of superhero liked by his children Aryan and Suhana. In fact, some sources reveal that his children always wanted him to do a flick like ‘superhero’ or ‘Superman’ and this ‘Ra1’ might also be considered on the part of SRK as fulfillment of one of the wishes of his children.

Those in the know of things reveal that SRK’s ‘Ra1’ has some element which will be liked by children. In fact, the film has been written in such a way that children like Suhana and Aryan will find it very entertaining and rocking.

The movie has Shah Rukh playing the part of a scientist who wants to make a Robot. He even succeeds in making that machine but unfortunately that turns against human race, and the scientist himself had to destroy it for the sake of humanity.

Kareena Kapoor, the sizzling hot bollywood babe plays the part of Shah Rukh Khan’s wife in the film. However, her role is that of modern jeans wearing mom and not that of a traditional woman. She will also be mother of an eight- year- old son in the film.

Before acting for the film, Shah Rukh Khan has to wear a special costume designed by American designers for the superhero part. The film also has special effects of high quality provided by Hollywood artists especially hired for the purpose.

Meet Shah Rukh's favorite gang of girls!

We all know that girls are crazy about King Khan but very few people know that Shah Rukh already has his own gang of girls. Before you start guessing about his gang of girls lets tell you that we are talking about his daughter Suhana and her little friends.

No matter how much busy Shah Rukh Khan is he makes sure to spend time with them. SRK calls himself a fulfilled father who loves to be with his kids all the time. Whenever he gets time from his hectic schedule of his forthcoming film ‘Ra.One’, he welcomes his gang of beautiful and cute girls at his place.

He also informs that he not only loves to be with them but also he loves to teach rather train them to be tough and sporty. Isn’t SRK a doting father?

Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan join hands for a masaledar flick!!

Shah Rukh Khan, the Badshah of bollywood who is great friends with superhero Hrithik Roshan, has decided to join hands with him for a complete commercial entertaining flick.

The film will go on the floors by next year and is likely to be produced by Rakesh Roshan’s Filmkraft and Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment jointly. Sources close to Shah Rukh Khan’s household ‘Mannat’ reveal that it was on the prodding of two star wives—Gauri Khan and Susanne Khan—that the upcoming venture is going to be a reality.

In fact, Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan were brought closer because of existing bosom friendship between their wives—Gauri and Susanne Khan. These ladies are not only great friends but also host parties for each other. They also love to form an exclusive group at any such gathering or filmi function.

Last time, Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan were together in a film was Karan Johar’s family drama ‘Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham’ and the movie rocked at the box office. This time, too, the trade is abuzz with the talk of this upcoming mega venture, which is likely to have a huge cost of production to it.

However, Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan are yet to decide upon a suitable director for this upcoming biggie from their companies. Karan Johar and Aditya Chopra are big names but they would hardly consider directing anything outside their own production houses.

For the present, Shah Rukh Khan is busy with his own production ‘Ra 1’, which is being directed by Anubhav Sinha. King Khan plays the character of a superhero in his bollywood career for the first time in this flick. The film needs a lot of special effects and Shah Rukh Khan has hired specialists from Hollywood to do the job perfectly.

After that Shah Rukh Khan would be busy with Farhan Akhtar’s sequel ‘Don 2’. Here Shah Rukh will take forward Big B’s legacy and is likely to be sought after by the police of more countries than his previous flick on the same subject.

Hrithik Roshan will also be busy with Zoya Akhtar’s latest flick which has Hrithik Roshan along with Abhay Deol and others for company. The movie is a road movie and the handsome hunk is eagerly awaiting for the shoot to begin.

However, Hrithik Roshan is obviously not pleased with the mixed response that his latest offering ‘Kites’ received at the hands of critics as well as hoi polloi at the Indian box office. Through there is some relief for Hrithik Roshan after ‘Kites’ opened at number five in the U K, while tenth position in the US.

Though Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Kites’ was a good movie with Barbara Mori and Kangna Ranaut playing their parts beautifully but what disheartened the desi audiences was its slow pace. Even climax of the flick was not liked by young junta, who had gone to theatres expecting sparkling chemistry and passionate sequences in the flick.

Hopefully, Brett Ratner’s ‘Kites: The Remix’ should recover some lost ground on May 28, on which the flick will see the light of the day.

Kareena loves her look in Ra.One

You can’t really put down Kareena Kapoor for long. Before you know it, she’s back with a bang. This time the actress is quite gung ho about her look in Shah Rukh Khan’s Ra.One. She’s looking gorgeous. Gauri Khan who saw the rushes of what has been shot is also gushing about Bebo. And that has got the actress really, really excited, she’s raring to go with this movie.

Ra.One will be path-breaking: Arjun Rampal,

Shah Rukh Khan's dream project Ra.One might be taking some time on the technical front due to its unusual theme, but Arjun Rampal feels if all goes well, the sci-fi thriller will be "path-breaking".

Arjun plays a villain in the Anubhav Sinha directed movie.

"We have been working very hard to bring a vision together. I think Shah Rukh is very clear about his vision, so is Anubhav. We are working as a team to achieve it. And if we achieve it, it would be a path-breaking movie," Arjun told IANS.

The film is about a superhero who can freeze electricity and the actor says it will appeal to children.

"Ra.One is a very ambitious project. It's a film that kids will enjoy for sure. It's not only for kids but the idea is also to bring action to a different level. It's hugely experimental," he said.

Kareena Kapoor plays the female lead in it.

SRK is the king of Twitter

Of late lots of our stars are now on micro blogging site Twitter where fans can interact directly with them. From Shah Rukh to Sachin Tendulkar everyone is tweeting their every opinion and gaining followers by the second and no surprises then that King Khan has tweeted his way to the top. SRK 404.906 Followers,

And Big B was the first person to congratulate SRK on crossing the four lakh mark He wrote: "Shah Rukh congrats! You crossed 400,000... meri gaadi thoda dheeli chal rahi hai..."

Shah Rukh wasn't the quickest off the block but his popularity more than made up for it. "I try and rub shoulders with the best....." he tweeted.

Amitabh Bachchan's bandwagon as he says may be moving slow but at his age he is probably the most followed star on twitter of his generation.

Big B currently boasts of 1,00,240 followers not too shabby for just a week onboard. His reasons though are a little different and as usual the media is his inspiration.

A lakh is hardly any competition to SRK, the closest though is the star from the world of cricket Sachin Tendulkar.

Tendulkar has already reached 362,650 in a couple of months and could surpass the Khan. His best friend Aamir though is missing in action may be Mr Perfect's is waiting for his next release before he hits the Twitter with a vengance. It wouldn't be the first time a star has done it!

In the meantime Salman Khan has been doing what he does best, connecting with his fans, his language may not always be clear but the fans are loving it and his count is 153,294.

"Abhi agey dekhtey hain kya hoga," Salman wrote.

So, looks like SRK is the current champion at least in India to be a global number he will have to beat Britney Spears, who at 49,64,382 remains light years away.

Shah Rukh Khan shoots for ad despite fever

Shah Rukh Khan is known for his professionalism and the superstar proved his commitment to work recently when he went to shoot for a toothpaste ad despite having fever.

Shah Rukh, the new brand ambassador of Pepsodent toothpaste, had to shoot for its latest ad campaign "Pappu and Pappa" at Filmcity for three days.

Even though Shah Rukh was down with 104 degree (Fahrenheit) fever, he made sure that it did not affect the shooting schedules. The actor made it a point to shoot for the campaign instead of cancelling it, said a source.

Shah Rukh has teamed up with child artist Keval and had to give multiple shots till his young co-star got it all right.

Shah Rukh did not complain throughout the long hours of shoot besides the numerous takes he was made to go through, said the source.

Lara gets part of the SRK's film Don 2!

Lara Dutta is the latest star to join Farhan Akhtar’s Don 2. The actress has been cast alongside Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra and Arjun Rampal — all three who have been retained from its prequel Don.

And though producer Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan are tight-lipped about her role, a source revealed that the actress is touted to play a femme fatale in this slick-flick. However, whether Lara will be seen vying for SRK’s attention alongside Priyanka remains to be seen. A source said, “Lara’s not replacing Eesha (Koppikhar). She’s a completely new addition to the cast with an entirely new part written for her. But yes, the role will require Lara to learn some form of martial arts and she is very kicked about doing an action role.”

For Lara, it may just be a dream come true, as she had not too long ago revealed her wish of doing a hard-core action-oriented role. Incidentally, with Lara and Priyanka on board, the film teams two former Miss Indias (Universe and World, respectively) who had made their debut together in the 2003 Akshay Kumar starrer Andaz.

Barbara wants to work with SRK

After romancing Bollywood heartthrob Hrithik Roshan onscreen, Mexican beauty Barbara Mori is now eying to work with superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

The 32-year-old actress has been praised for her sizzling chemistry with Hrithik in Anurag Basu directed 'Kites'.

But before she can foray into Bollywood, the model-turned actress needs to brush up her linguistic skills and learn Hindi.

Barbara, who was here with Hrithik and producer Rakesh Roshan for the promotion of their film, sought help from the father-son duo to translate questions thrown at her by the audience.

When asked if she has signed any new projects the actress replied in negative but added, "I want to work with Shah Rukh Khan."

Barbara and Hrithik were all praise for each other forming a mutual admiration society. The 36-year-old actor said that he has learnt alot from his Mexican co-star.

The onscreen couple seemed unfazed toward the lukewarm response of the critic and audience to their film.

While the actress, who has has worked in Mexican TV soaps and films like 'Inspiracion' and 'La Mujer De Mi Hermano', said 'Kites' was the best movie of her career.
Hrithik said that the 140-crore film is his labour of love straight from the heart which has garnered good reviews outside India.

"To each his own. I don't really trust them (critics). When I debuted in Bollywood they referred me as god and then after two years they said I am finished. So I would rather follow my heart and do what I like than try to please the critics," Hrithik said.

The film's international version 'Kites - The Remix' has been edited by Hollywood director Brett Ratner of 'Rush Hour' and 'X-Men: The Last Stand' fame, which will hit the theaters on May 28.

SRK's best Buddy KJo’s introspective birthday

Karan Johar is sitting in his favourite New York City on his 38th birthday today (yes, he’s still below the Big 40) and looking back in gratitude at his many blessings — Kajol, Rani, Kareena, Shah Rukh and Gauri as friends; successes galore; and a movie company that is among the biggest and best in the business today. So what’s he complaining about?

I could almost visualize that grin long distance as he stated, “I realized that sometimes silence is the biggest gift one can gift oneself, and here I am, in the Big Apple, silent and in a uncelebratory mood; searching for that elusive Big Idea for my next movie.” Actually, he just wanted to be away, to clear his head of the clutter and think clean. “Now that I’ve realized my father’s dream of building an infrastructure and an organization that can run almost on auto pilot, I can get away knowing it’s in safe hands,” said Karan. “My childhood friend and CEO, Apoorva, is the strength in getting it right as an organization and as a business model. He allowed me a month away to focus on my story while he handles the show; and here I am, without any solid idea yet.”

Still, they said that for real men, it all begins at 40. He laughed, “I think that’s a myth perpetuated by men. That 40 is the new 30. Rubbish! The dichotomy of it is that while I am colouring my hair to hide my greys, my loyal office staff still calls me Karan baba. I believe you can get out there and be young and energetic at any age, but don’t save it for when you’re 40 and then try and cover up. Have fun at all ages. Do it now. I’m not 38 going on 28. I’ve had a solid 13 years of successes by God’s grace. A great journey, some good work and some dreams coming true in the fashion I’d imagined with my dad. It’s been fantastic. So even though I’m not having a party this year, it’s nice to be missed.”

And it’d be nice if this year’s controversies of the ilk of MNIK and Kurbaan spared him. “I’m glad that’s behind me,” he stressed. “We mean well. We make well meaning cinema that’s happy and fun. I’m glad that no damage has happened and the wishes of people are with us. But no one seeks out controversies.” And no SRK and Co. to cut him a cake? “Nope! Hope Mumbai misses me loads though. I will walk the streets of Manhattan in deep introspection. And maybe treat myself to a nice new hair colour. Because I’m worth it, I guess.”

Sure Kjo. With dreams coming true like they do in his movies.

Shah Rukh refreshes his childhood memories at the tragic place Mangalore

The Bollywood stars display condolence for the victims and their family and friends. Shah Rukh Khan shared his thoughts on this tragic accident and revealed his connection with Mangalore.

SRK tweeted on his blog, “It’s awful when lives end so suddenly. Prayers for the families whose loved ones passed away in the plane crash.”

“Evil and tragedies were made by God because only in the face of them our nobler (sic) thoughts crop up. Realization of mortality makes us good,” added SRK.

Unveiling his childhood memories with the place, Shah Rukh added, “I was brought up in Mangalore. My grandfather was the engineer in chief for the Mangalore port. All my childhood pics are taken there.”

Shah Rukh to introduce Karan’s ‘I Hate Luv Stories’

Shah Rukh Khan is no doubt a great friend of Karan Johar and he can’t say NO to any of Karan’s request. So now SRK will lend his voice for Karan Johar’s upcoming film I hate Luv Stories directed by Punit Malhotra.

No he won’t be dubbing for any character but will introduce the film in his voice.

A source revealed, “It was a last minute decision to use SRK’s voice. Karan wanted a simple narration for the film. So, he requested SRK. Since Karan and Shah Rukh are great friends, the actor instantly agreed. ”

It added, “SRK’s voice will be used in the first five minutes of the movie when its lead cast is introduced.”

The film features the young newcomers of industry, Imran and Sonam who look great together.

Punit said, “SRK’s voice was needed in the film because there are several references drawn from the actor and his films in the movie. That makes his voice more relevant.”

SRK denies it but the audiences can see clearly that the actors somehow always follows Amitabh Bachchan then be it films, TV show or even international stage shows and now it’s the dubbing studio.

Shah Rukh Khan IPL show puts Bhajji in soup!!

Shah Rukh Khan, the bollywood badshah who was anchoring the Indian Premier League(IPL) awards function in Mumbai recently, has put the ace spinner Harbhajan Singh in a soup by eliciting a ‘Bhangra to langda hota hai(Bhangra is lame) remark from him on the stage.

In fact, a Punjabi group ‘Punjab Heritage and Culture Society’ has taken strong objection to remark and demanded an unconditional apology from the cricketer. According to president of the association Mr. Gurminder Singh Siddhu, if Bhajji did not tender an apology for insulting the Punjabi culture and vibrant people of the state, they would file a case against the ace spinner.

Mr. Guminder says that by the remarks, Harbhajan had made mockery of their cultrue and also hurt the feelings of Punjabis. However, others like Navjot Singh Siddhu does not hold to this view and say that the remark should be taken in a sporting manner and not made a big issue to corner the cricketer.
In any case the remark was just an off the cuff remark on the stage and not a considered statement given in an interview.

SRK gets estranged couple together by one phone call,

Okay, this is a true story, we have not changed the names of the couple involved — and we have got it first hand, because the husband is an ex-journo known to this paper.

Shah Rukh Khan, of course, neither confirmed nor denied his role in the heartwarming incident — characteristically, he just kept himself elusive! But this is the story...

Gurgaon-based Kandula Subramaniam’s marriage was on the rocks, he and wife Krishnakoli Dutta were living separately for a while, and the depressed husband was doing everything possible to win his wife back. But in vain. Until Kandula remembered that Krishnakoli was a big Shah Rukh Khan fan. And he figured the Bollywood supremo, who features on the ‘Most Powerful’ lists of international magazines and portals, might just be able to swing his marriage around for him.

Desperately, he sought SRK’s e-mail address and wrote the actor an impassioned letter explaining his dismal circumstances and imploring him to step in and try and bring Krishnakoli around. Shah Rukh, still busy untangling the IPL mess and working on his next film Ra-1, took remedial action promptly. On May 18, which was Krishnakoli’s birthday, she got a phone call. And on the line was her idol!

After wishing the stunned woman a “happy birthday”, careful not to intrude on her private space, SRK requested Krishnakoli to try and give her estranged relationship with Kandula another shot. Hugely surprised by this suggestion from the most charismatic love ambassador of Hindi cinema, Krishnakoli promised to try and make things work with her husband.

The story ends there. We have no footnotes to add on whether Krishnakoli and Kandula have patched up yet. It is too early to say so. But we do know she was touched that he had done this for her. At first, she couldn’t believe that it was SRK on the line, she thought somebody was pulling her leg. Kandula said, “When you want to bridge the gap, then you try everything in your power. After praying to God, I thought the next best thing was to try and reach out to Mr Khan. Somehow deep within me I knew that if I wrote to him, he would make the call.’’

SRK and some facts. what you never know,

Undoubtedly the "BEST" actor in Bollywood & that's he's called "KING KHAN'.
Well for all you SRK Die Hard fans here's some facts and Trivia which I am DEAD sure most of you will not know.

1) Shahrukh still remembers his first fan who is a lady. She was his fan even before he became a film star or a famous televison star. She remembers him since his theater days. She shouted Shahrukh's name on the middle of the road when she spotted him. Shahrukh still cannot forget that moment.

2) One of the reasons why Shah Rukh bought Mannat, his palatial bungalow, was since he wanted to have an exclusive prayer room. Shah Rukh says that if he were broke, he will sell everything except Mannat

3) Shah Rukh was, in fact uncomfortably possessive about his lady love (Gauri), whom he lovingly calls Gaurima. So much so that he would pick up a quarrel with her even if she let her hair down literally. Finally, Gauri lost her cool and without informing Shah Rukh, came down to Bombay. Shah Rukh followed her to the huge city and kept looking for her around the beaches because of his awareness that she was attracted to them in a big way. Later, a cab guy advised him to go to Aksa Beach and Gorai Beach. After searching frantically, he managed to track her down when she was standing in the water! Wsn't that filmi?

4) Many do not know that SRK used to live in gautam nagar(south delhi).which he does'nt confess in his interviews. whenever any reporter takes his interview about his good old days ,he says that he resided in south Delhi, but he never talks about gautam nagar.

5) For Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, Shah Rukh had taken a signing amount of Rs 5,000 and did the entire film for Rs. 25,000.

6) Shah Rukh had signed a movie called Jadoo co-starring Raveena Tandon, Anupam Kher & Navneet Nishan to be directed by Pavan Kaul. But Shah Rukh refused to kiss Navneet who was playing a vampish role. Shah Rukh had promised himself that he would never kiss any actress on-screen. And, he has stuck to this till today.

7)Shahrukh requires a lot of his own space for himself and his near and dear ones understand that. Whenever Shahrukh is angry, he needs to be left alone or you will only make him angrier.

8)Shahrukh Khan can be managed best only by his wife as she understands him the most. She is the only person who can command Shahrukh to do things. Infact Shahrukhs’s daughter Suhana imitates Gauri Khan very well by saying in a strict voice, “Shahrukh, eat your food.” Hope you all must've enjoyed facts about our very own "King Khan"
