Amitabh Bachchan dresses like Shah Rukh Khan for Kutch tourism!!

Amitabh Bachchan, the Shehanshah of bollywood who is in the Kutch region of Gujarat to shoot for the promotion of its tourism on the request of CM Narendra Modi, chose to dress like Shah Rukh Khan’s character in the film ‘Paheli’.

Big B was looking colorfully handsome in traditional pagri and Kurta worn by local Kutchi people. He even tweeted about Shah Rukh connection of his dress but King Khan chose to ignore this perhaps due to Narendra Modi’s Gujarat connection.

However, this did not dampen the spirit of doyen of Indian cinema and he telephoned son Abhishek Bachchan, who was shooting in the turkey capital of Istanbul, and talked about his debut film ‘Refugee’, which had been shot by veteran JP Dutta in the same desert area of Bhuj.

Amitabh was especially impressed with rich cultural history and diversity of that region. Big B later even visited the renowned Somnath temple and Gir lion sanctuary. His signature line for the promotional campaign remains ‘Kutch nahi Dekha to Kuch nahi dekha’.

While shooting in the desert, Amitabh faced strong winds which usually blow in the desert region of Gujarat, but the veteran was undeterred, and in fact, even expressed himself to have become more determined to shoot in the area.

Big B was delighted when informed that by afternoon sea will start invading the white desert and he would be able to see water on the surface. In fact, at that point of time too he could see water seeping through surface from beneath across the salty Rann.

The whole shoot also brought out the poetic side of Big B who spoke about the whole experience in a lyrical way as explained by his writing on his bigadda blog. Presently, Amitabh Bachchan is in the Kutch region of Gujarat to shoot for the promotion of tourism in this region of the State.

As the place where Big B was shooting in the Rann of Kutch was very near to Pakistan border(around sixty km), he was provided with strict security by the state government. However, the tragedy of the actual shooting site was that only two wheelers like motorbikes were able to ply in the area.

It may be recalled that Amitabh Bachchan had earlier been castigated by other political parties for his agreeing to become the brand ambassador of Narendra Modi’s ‘Gujarat’ on the ground of latter supporting the communal forces through his government.

However, Amitabh Bachchan’s argument was simple that he was supporting and advocating the promotion of the state of Gujarat and not associated with some political party in the case.

The buzz doing the rounds in the industry is that Shah Rukh Khan, who has powerful friends in Congress party, did not respond to Big B’s tweet about ‘Paheli’ dress recently only due to his involvement with Congress and Amitabh’s tense relation with the Gandhis.
