SRK's wax figure for Hong Kong's Madame Tussauds

Actor Shah Rukh Khan's wax figure is making a special appearance at the Madame Tussauds museum here.

On loan for three months from London, the 44-year-old's statue will be on display alongside Hollywood stars Jackie Chan, Harrison Ford and Johnny Depp.

The life-size wax statue of the Khan was installed at the London museum in April 2007.

“Madame Tussauds Hong Kong has been receiving many more tourists from India in the last two years. While these guests enjoy meeting our unique collection of 100 international celebrities and world leaders, we are delighted to have Khan join our attraction,” Bret Pidgeon, general manager of Madame Tussauds Hong Kong and Shanghai, said in a statement.

This is not the first time that a wax figure of a Hindi film star will be displayed at the museum in the city. Last year, Madame Tussauds Hong Kong displayed the wax figure of actor Amitabh Bachchan.

“Following the success of displaying Bachchan's wax figure as the attraction last year, we anticipate that Khan will be as popular with the Indian community in Hong Kong and guests visiting from abroad.”

His wax figure will be on display at the World Premiere section in the museum until July 21.
