Shah Rukh Khan, the badshah of bollywood who also owns Kolkata Knight Riders team of Indian Premier League (IPL) has been making profits(sources say it was Rs 6 crore even in Ist season) despite of the poor performance of his team at the cricket matches played against other teams.
The buzz in the industry is that it was only Shah Rukh Khan’s charisma that ensured the earning of such a huge amount in the IPL’s past two seasons despite of the fact that Kolkata Knight Riders had fared very badly in the tournament. But due to presence and association of Shah Rukh Khan, the advertisers flocked to KKR and money came very easily in its kitty.
Of course, the amount was much more than some other teams who had done better at the tournament but did not have someone like Shah Rukh Khan to add his magical touch to the whole thing. Fortunately for Shah Rukh Khan, this time KKR seems to be doing better and defeated Delhi Dare Devils by 14 runs recently.
Remember Delhi team boasts of the presence of Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir and this was no mean achievement on the part of Shah Rukh Khan’s KKR.
In fact, Preity Zinta was so impressed with the win of Shah Rukh Khan’s team over Delhi that the lady congratulated King Khan despite of the fact that her own team Punjab had been defeated by ten wickets by Rajasthan on the same day. Preity is not only large hearted but has also been a very good friend of Shah Rukh Khan from very early days.
